Project Overview

MEB Design's brief was to create a new golf retail experience and performance centre. Defining the entrance to the club and improving 'way finding' were key drivers in the design. A curved walkway leads visitors from the car park to the clubhouse while maximizing the 'shop window' to the new shop.

The first floor terrace also provides an outdoor multi-use space and a first floor, five hole putting green for members to test, and the resident professionals to coach, putters and technique.

Inspiration for the innovative concept design was based on the swing of a golf club and the shape of a golf club head. Three options were offered and the 'driver' was unanimously accepted as the preferred design.

Quote extracted from Opening Ceremony Video with Nick Pink, CEO of England Golf 23-Nov-2017

"In my role I have the privilege of going to a number of golf clubs / golf facilities all around the country. I think what you've got here is a blueprint for golf right across England, GB & Ireland, and right across the world."

Quote from Alistair E M Booth - Executive Chairman

"I can only echo what Russell has said. You and Will did a great job especially as you had to work closely with me, Clem and Dan!! We are delighted with the new facility and I think Feltham are as good a contractor as we could have wished for - I hope you enjoyed working with them.

All the very best and once again many thanks for a very good job well done."

Quote from Russell Stebbings - General Manager

"We really have a market leading facility and something to be proud of".

Quote from Daniel Blesovsky - Shop Manager

"The impact of the new shop has been fantastic. The visual impact on when you arrive at the club is now incredible and when you enter the new building the shop fit-out carries this on. We have seen an increase in traffic to the shop and in particular into the performance centres that have been very well received"
